Patient Leader

Since the death of my aunt in 2002 from Lyme Disease, and my family's own diagnosis in 2009, I have written fervently about our journey through diagnosis and treatment. It is an invisible epidemic that is hidden because of physicians' ignorance, improper testing, and misdiagnoses. My goal is to make Lyme disease and its co-infections common, household words with full knowledge that these illnesses are carried by any vector, not just ticks. I write a blog, I meet with people weekly who are newly diagnosed, and am currently writing a book with my physician about this disease.
