Richard, Pia, Kathleen & an ever-increasing volunteer team have brought great energy, for want of a better word, to the M.E. cause. Their most recent success was the great achievement of raising the initial target for a Rituximab trial in the UK. They help give hope to many affected by M.E. and their loved ones in the UK and around the world.
It has raised more than £865,000 for research. Probably its main ongoing activity is the annual international conference which involves specific sections for young/early career researchers; a researcher colloquium; and the main public event, now in its 14th year, which is recorded. It has achieved great things for an all-volunteer organisation. — Tom
