Dawn

Patient Leader

I host #SpoonieChat Wednesdays from 9-11PM EST, and the Spoonie Chat Facebook group, where we talk about self care for most invisible and chronic illnesses. Many of our members are living with Ankylosing Spondylitis, arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, and migraine, but the membership continues to grow and diversify. More and more of our members are disclosing issues in behavioral health, cardiovascular, dietary restrictions, and other illnesses. I engage Spoonie topics through short fiction, my tumblr blog, and a constant twitter presence. I enjoy cooking, crochet, Detroit Tigers baseball, and host BlerdChat each Thursday at 7 PM EST. I dream of a world where socially determined health disparities are just a memory and every one of us is well.
