In 2008 my mother died from metastatic breast cancer and in April 2010 I was diagnosed with breast cancer myself. I also discovered I am BRCA2+. My life has been forever altered by this disease. For me there is no going back. Through blogging I share about my diagnosis and treatment, reconstruction, hereditary cancer, survivorship and more. I also delve into the topic of loss, a subject many do not wish to discuss, but all of us will face. I attempt to reach out to others on similar paths because no one needs to go through these things alone. My intent has always been to share candidly about all of it. Through sharing comes healing for me and hopefully help for others.
