Connie Livingston

Patient Leader

Connie has been a registered nurse for 38 years and a Lamaze International certified childbirth educator for 34 years. She has worked with expectant families in a variety of settings in many parts of the US. Connie is charter Fellow of the American College of Childbirth Educators. She has completed a certificate in Aromatherapy and Levels I and II Reiki. The author of over 1200 articles and three books for both parents and professionals, she is a frequent conference speaker, and consultant to childbirth education and hospital-based doula programs. She has recently consulted for iVillage and Parent's Magazine. In 2011, Connie was pleased to become the Program Director of the Birthsource Lamaze Accredited Childbirth Educator Training Program. During 2012, she was asked to join the Midwifery Education Accreditation Council (MEAC) and served as a Member at Large. In late 2012, she was asked to once again join the ICEA Board of Directors, as President-Elect, and will become president in January 2015. Connie and her "Hubster" have two amazing daughters.
