I have been blogging and writing about perimenopause, and advocating on behalf of women for close to seven years. I am currently in graduate school earning my masters and doctorate degrees in the field of medical anthropology. Upon completion of my studies, I plan to continue to write, publish, and teach on behalf of women going through perimenopause, with a view to influencing the medical community to the end that they have a better understanding of the experience of perimenopause, and can more effectively meet their needs. To date, the average woman finds that the medical community is completely tone deaf to her hormone needs. Wouldn't it be grand if we could change that?
