Patient Leader

I started my blog in 2015. I now blog for Respond Healthcare, Trio Healthcare, comfizz and Stoma Tips Magazine. I have also been in local newspapers and done several other blog pieces for companies and CCUK. I also fundraise for The Purple Wings Charity, Cure Crohns Colitis and collect food supplies for the homeless of Aberdeen, Scotland. I'm 24 and have a few projects lined up for raising awareness! I also share people's stories on my blog website, relevant information for ostomates and chronic illness sufferers and tips and ways for people to support those who suffer and educate them. I also co host a Youtube Channel called That Crohns Chick as well as my own!

She has really opened my eyes to her condition and my sister has recently been diagnosed and Alannah has help prepare me for it  — David

Always there for a chat. Always put everyone else first before herself  — Melanie

Her blog is such a great place for those of us with IBD and not many people know that a blog like this exists! She also has a YouTube channel about her medical journeys which is definitely worth subscribing to if you feel alone in your own medical journey!  — Ashley

She is a truly inspirational woman who helps many come to terms with living with a chronic illness, educates those who do not and cares for everyone beyond words. She's so deserving of this award, more than anyone I've ever met. She goes through so much on a daily basis but still chooses to spend her time helping others to the best of her ability.  — Shayne
