Patient Leader

I am a 61 year old former International business person and consultant primarily in the woodworking industry, as well as a small business owner that had to leave those passions when I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2017. After my diagnosis I ended up with 10 collapsed vertebrae and 3 broken ribs, most of which happened in 6 weeks. I now actively advocate for Myeloma, blood cancers, and other chronic diseases like MS. Once I was partially recovered I decided to write a blog about my experiences and life of a chronic disease patient in general. It is called effcancerblog.com. I also have started sharing articles with other advocate sites like blood-cancer.com and am training as a Myeloma Coach for the MyelomaCrowd. More recently (2020) I have started a nonprofit initiative that advocates for anyone with a primary or secondary immunodeficiency . The organization is called maskeuraid (mask-cure-aid)
