Hi! My name is Megan Carranza and I am a wife, a mom, a podcaster and an advocate! I have three beautiful children and my oldest, Logan, also happens to have autism. After Logan was diagnosed in 2017, I found myself feeling very lonely and isolated on this journey. Even though I had great family and friends who offered support- I was craving that support from people who were on this same path. People who “got it”. I love listening to podcasts of all kinds and around this time I started looking for autism podcasts. I was surprised to find there weren’t very many! I wanted to hear from real parents who understand what this journey was really like- I wanted something fun and positive. I couldn’t really find what I was looking for so I decided to create it! Even though I didn’t know the first thing about podcasting! Lol. Adventures in Autism was born in September 2018 and it’s truly been amazing to make so many meaningful connections- with both guests of the show and listeners, within the autism community. My son has taught me more in the 6 years I’ve been his mom then I’ve learned my whole life. He has pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow in ways I didn’t even realize I needed to. I am a better and stronger person because of him. My goal is truly just to make him proud, the way he makes me everyday!
