Melissa Talwar (Support Fibromyalgia)

Patient Leader

Melissa is ready to bring positive healthcare experiences to the Fibromyalgia community! Her chronic pain journey began at the age of 14 and after a long 24 year journey of decline and a laundry list of diagnoses, she took her health into her own hands. Through biohacking and patient empowered motivation she has given herself a break in decline and focused her energy on building the nonprofit organization, International Support Fibromyalgia Network. #SupportFibro believes in collaboration. It is open, participatory and dedicated to educating, advocating and inspiring the fibromyalgia community. Melissa is also a Board Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach, Certified Wahls Protocol® Health Professional, and ReCODE coach (Bredesen Protocol). She has been spending time training with The Wahls Protocol team. Her advocacy work started in the early 2000's, and Melissa was part of the first Fibromyalgia group in Sacramento for the first Fibromyalgia Proclamation. That day ignited a passion to pursue advocacy work and find better answers for the Fibromyalgia community. She continues to bring Fibromyalgia education to patients across the country and to legislators at Capitol Hill. Be sure to connect and she'll see you on the road!
