An incurable optimist, artist, and journalist, Wren has lived with rheumatoid arthritis for 3 decades. She lived and worked in Europe, raised a daughter, was a newspaper reporter, editor, and photographer, and spent her spare time hiking and fishing--all in spite of RA. In 2008, she created RheumaBlog to reach out to others with the disease, That led to a freelance career writing for health-related websites, and that in turn led her into advocating through social media for RA and chronic pain patients. Her message? Living well with RA means living in the now, appreciating the many small gifts the world offers each day, and consciously seeking joy in the face of RA's many challenges.
