Patient Leader

I have been a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist since 1997. That means I have been studying nutrition and health for over 20 years. While this should make me a “health expert,” I don’t feel that is exactly true. There is just always so much more to learn. The good news is I love to learn and I love to share what I learn with others. That is the primary intention behind my site (HappyHealthyHer.com) – to share reliable health information. It is a labor of love to which I have dedicated money and time in the sheer hope that it will help someone. Maybe you? I also have a bit of a personal mission. I just happen to have three autoimmune diseases (Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, Sjögren’s Syndrome, and Celiac Disease). After decades of living with the challenges and unpredictability of chronic illness, in 2010 I decided to take my health into my own hands by completing a master’s degree in Integrative Health & Healing. What I learned in that program made it abundantly clear that natural healing works. I was so excited and grateful for the information that I just had to share it. So, as part of my culminating project for my degree I launched my website in 2012.
