Sarah’s Thinking Again

Patient Leader

I’m a 35 year old married mum of 2 girls. I was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder & Generalised Anxiety Disorder this year. I also have had a total hysterectomy due to losing my mum to ovarian cancer, so I went into early menopause at 32. I am committed to helping others & writing articles & blogs so that I can cause change in our society. I particularly have a passion for wellbeing & mental health awareness being shared with young people & children. If I can help someone I will. I also work at Good Things Foundation, a digital & social inclusion charity in Sheffield. I love blogging but I love taking action too like our wellbeing event that I held in the community on 1st June

Sarah is as kind-hearted as they come. She passionately campaigns for social inclusion and shares her challenges which enables others to realise they're not alone. I've not known her for long, but she's enriched my life with her loveliness and her dedication to raising awareness about mental health is truly admirable.

Sarah has been using blogging as a form of therapy for her mental health problems over the last year to help her have an outlet for everything that is going on for her. She also increasing awareness by putting herself out there, being open and honest obout her difficulties and how they effect her. Lessening the stigma around mental health.  — Alexandra
