Claire Saul PainPalsBlog

Patient Leader

I am a wife, mum of 3 young adults & live with chronic pain, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome & comorbidities. Following medical retirement as a nurse, I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted for my pain and have since started blogging to share my experiences & give support to others in similar positions. This has developed into a passion - sharing the stories of others on my own blog, being a team member for the Chronic Illness Bloggers network and now volunteering as an online Chronic Pain Advisor for the UK disability charity Scope. I want to give support & friendship to others living with disability & chronic illness, acknowledge the invisible & create links for those within our community.

Claire is an inspirational person and it shines in her writing. I have never met Claire but have felt close to her story purely through her work. I had never heard of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and she single handedly has raised awareness for this cause to me and my social community as a result. She deserves acknowledgement for an informative blog.  — Orla
