In December 2014 I had a car accident on my way to work. As a result the road was closed for hours and I was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital. I had sustained a diffuse axonal brain injury, but I wasn't to find that out until much later, making my journey to recovery more difficult. However, this happens more often than people realise. Now I write about my experience and symptoms to help others express how this invisible injury affects their everyday lives in my blog jumbledbrain.com. Also I have started a Facebook support group for survivors and caregivers https://www.facebook.com/groups/braininjurysupportuk/ . It's full of ideas and genuinely helpful members.
