Morgan Gleason

Patient Leader

I am a Patient Advocate and a sophomore at Auburn University, double-majoring in psychology and health services administration. After being diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called juvenile dermatomyositis at age 11, I began making YouTube videos that went viral.  Now, I advocate for patient care and share my journey by speaking at numerous conferences and writing a blog. When I am not in school or working as a Patient Advocate, I love to ride my horse Riley.

Patient Leader Hero

Morgan is amazing, despite being 19 and a freshman at Auburn (WarEagle) she is articulate, engaging, passionate and has a lot of great things to say. So many patient advocates are older, Morgan reminds us of the need to listen to what younger generations are saying too. She is awesome, seriously!  — Burt
