Erin, InsideOut Ostomy Life

Patient Leader

I was diagnosed with UC in 2006 and lost my large colon in 2007, Twelve surgeries and three years later I became a permanent ostomate. I have been heavily involved with ostomy support and advocacy in my local area as part of the WA Ostomy Association and recently have expanded this online with my new blog and social media presence as InsideOut Ostomy Life which focuses on living a full active happy healthy life with an ostomy bag. I discuss all thing ostomy and general life with a focus on exercise and information. I also advocate for mental health through removing the stigma associated with talking about it openly as I continue to personally struggle with this and infertility issues.
