Patient Leader

When my son Jameson was diagnosed at birth with complex congenital heart disease, I used my background in healthcare quality mgmt to be his best mom-case manager & care navigator plus keep him safe. MBSR Training enables me to heal after helping Jamie survive a near-fatal medical error at 15 in '09. My passion ignites when bringing my family caregiver experience in partnership with designers to co-create discharge and navigation tools for Pts & families. Caregiver for difficult Pt (my mom) helping her manage COPD, spinal stenosis, lung cancer in her later years, listening to & realizing her last wishes to be safe & comfortable. Personal challenges include Crohn's disease, melanoma, wt mgmt.
