Patient Leader

My passion is providing patients with access to their clinical data and tools to empower them as partners in their care. I have been involved with the work of giving patients access to their own health information since the mid-1990's. I've worked at HealthPartners, Kaiser Permanente, and Aetna, always focused on providing patients with access to deeper information and better tools. I now work with start-ups and organizations to enhance digital tools. I am the primary editor for Participatory Healthcare in 2016 and Engage! Transforming Healthcare Through Digital Patient Engagement in 2013. In the books I recount patient stories to illustrate changes needed in health policy and process.
