Becca Hartman

Patient Leader

At the age of 17 I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I am now 25 years old, so I've been a RA warrior for almost 8 years! My fingers, wrists, elbows, knees, and ankles have been affected and I qualify for an elbow replacement due to bone erosion. Proud crew member @ ANRF. "I am a health advocate" because I refuse to battle this disease alone and want my friends/family to witness the widespread effects RA has on me. By sharing pictures and updates, I allow my sphere of influence to join along with my story. I believe that one day a long term cure will be found for those of us who have all forms of arthritis and will continue to share my journey every "flare" of the way!

She is always raising awareness and advocating for RA. She is always positive and does it with a smile on her face no matter how bad the pain is.
