I am a retired Medical Office Assisant from Erie County in Buffalo,NY. I worked both in schools and later in a Health Center that mostly dealt with either a poor, minority,or elderly population. After I retired I volunteered for 10 years for Elderwood where I won Volunteer of the Yeat. Now I do Ecumenical Ministry to a population that are shut ins or are very sick. I also still use my skills to take blood pressures on family and friends if they need it and research medicines/doctors online so everyone gets the best information available.
I am nominating my mother,Theodora Pietrzak, since she takes great pride in health care issues by spending extra time with both her family(and her trusty blood pressure cuff) and clients she sees through her ecumenical ministry where she can answer questions from years of experience of a Medical Office Assistant which was elderly, poor, and at risk. — Theodora
I believe Dorie Pietrzak deserves this award since she was a Volunteer in a Nursing Home for 10 years winning Volunteer of the Year and now combines both her Ecumenical Ministry with a health care approarch when looking in on shut in Seniors since she was a former Medical Office Assistant for Erie County in Western New York until she retired. — Paul
