I am a male breast cancer survivor and I have been in remission for almost 4 years. While I was going through the journey, I realized that there were no resources, education and support groups for men. So, I decided to start a new foundation to help men and their families and it is called Protect The Pecs. Our goals is to educate men on the importance of self exams, BRCA testing, fitness and eating healthier. The other goals are to help men with treatment costs (near future) and provide care packages. My motto is "Instead of lying face down in the fight against cancer, come out Swinging! Beat it Down! Battle it with your Strength, Faith, Positivity and Humor! YOU WILL WIN!"
Steve is a tireless advocate for men with breast cancer. He speaks nationally and raises awareness through social media. He truly is inspiring and soon everyone will know that breast cancer is a disease that happens in men as well as women. — Linda
