Hello! My name is Grace, and I am 17 years old. In Oct. 2013, a minor foot surgery to remove plantar warts that I got from walking barefoot by my school's pool, as I was on the swim team my entire life. The surgery went well and was expected to take 3 weeks to heal. Needless to say, it took almost 4 MONTHS. I developed an indescribable pain. It felt as though my veins were filled with acid, and someone was igniting a fire internally. On February 5th, 2014, I was officially diagnosed with a life changing, incurable illness--Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), otherwise known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Since then, I have developed other chronic illnesses; I will never give up.
