Ginny Mason

Patient Leader

Ginny is a nurse (& grandma!), diagnosed with triple negative inflammatory breast cancer (IBC) in 1994. She began volunteering with the Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Foundation when it started in 1999 and has been Executive Director since 2004. Research is her passion and she serves on SWOG clinical trial group & represents Indiana Univ. on the Translational Breast Cancer Research Consortium (TBCRC). She blogs & is the voice behind @IBCResearch tweets. She uses her medical background and patient experience to "pay it forward" providing guidance to the newly diagnosed patients, being a voice for patients in research, educating about IBC and working to end IBC through research.
