Patient Leader

Nearly 9 years ago, I heard the words, "Your daughter has cancer." That day, I entered the world of childhood cancer, becoming an advocate for my own daughter and for all children in the fight of their lives. We published her award-winning book, Grace: A Child's Intimate Journey through Cancer & Recovery, traveled the country visiting children's hospitals, met with researchers, wrote articles & blog posts, and journeyed to Capitol Hill to meet with representatives. Almost 2 years ago, I began tweeting for the purpose of uniting the childhood cancer community, so that our voice for the children can be stronger. I share important legislation, contests that help foundations win money, & hope!
